PAPLUS® Showcased at the Ambassador’s Residence of Japan in Germany
On March 13th, PAPLUS® was showcased at the Birthday Reception for His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, held at the Ambassador’s Residence of Japan in Berlin. As a Japan-born startup contributing to the movement away from plastic, we had the honor of presenting our innovation in this prestigious setting.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ambassador Shino, Minister Araki, and all the staff of the Embassy of Japan and JETRO for their generous support. We are also especially thankful to Mr. Yamamoto, representative of CROSSBIE—a startup accelerator connecting Berlin and Japanese companies—for providing us with a booth and creating original tumblers to distribute to key guests.
Germany has a strong reputation for its commitment to sustainability, including reducing disposable plastics and addressing environmental issues. However, there are still few products that successfully combine high-level environmental performance with thoughtful design. For this reason, PAPLUS® attracted great interest from many of the guests in attendance.
Among them was Mr. Shinji Okazaki, former member of the Japan national soccer team and current manager of FC Basara Mainz, a club competing in the sixth tier of German football. He resonated with the mission of PAPLUS®, noting its alignment with the club’s concept of “developing talent to succeed on the global stage.”
