Joint Development of Wheel Caps with Suzuki Motor Corporation

MOQBQ2

At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 30, Suzuki Motor Corporation unveiled the next-generation four-legged mobility vehicle “MOQBA2,” capable of climbing stairs.
Camino collaborated with Suzuki to develop the wheel caps made from a composite material of wood powder and plant-based bioplastic—covering the entire process from material development and product design to mold design and manufacturing.

Until now, Camino has focused on developing daily-use products such as tumblers made from PAPLUS®, a composite of paper powder and plant-based bioplastic.
This marks our first application of biomaterial technology in a mobility component.

Today, most bioplastics are used for packaging materials where biodegradability is essential.
However, their use in automotive parts that require high durability and heat resistance is still rare worldwide, making this project a promising example of the future potential of bioplastics.

Moving forward, Camino will continue to promote the social implementation of bioplastics that can make a significant contribution to decarbonization—providing one-stop solutions from material development to product manufacturing.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
