Our Products Adopted in Takenaka Corporation’s Exhibition Space

Our boards and pellets were featured in the exhibition space of Takenaka Corporation at the “Mori no Ichi 2025” event, held in the urban forest “Otemachi no Mori” in Otemachi, Tokyo.
Our collaboration with Takenaka Corporation began last year through an event held at “COT-Lab Otemachi” *Note 1). The adoption of our products for this exhibition marks a very encouraging milestone, demonstrating the steady progress of our co-creation efforts.
The boards and pellets selected for the exhibition are made from our proprietary material, a highly sustainable compound of hinoki (Japanese cypress) offcuts and PLA (polylactic acid). The boards showcase a unique marble pattern created through our patented technology, and feature six colors inspired by autumn foliage (five dyed colors plus one natural tone). These boards and pellets were arranged by Takenaka Corporation’s designers into a graphic mosaic, beautifully serving as the flooring material for the exhibition space.
The space also featured exhibits and chairs made from “Moen-Wood®,” *Note 2) Takenaka Corporation’s fire-resistant laminated timber. Together, they conveyed the company’s initiatives in circular wood utilization with high design quality. Visitors were able to freely enjoy the comfortable space for relaxation and quick desk work.
Leveraging the expertise gained through our material brand PAPLUS®, we continue to expand our technology toward various biomass materials beyond paper, pursuing new functional requirements while maintaining strong environmental performance.

Note 2: Moen-Wood® – Fire-Resistant Engineered Timber
While wooden architecture is appreciated for its warmth and aesthetic value, fire safety remains a major challenge. Moen-Wood® is an engineered timber developed to overcome this issue. Through proprietary technology, it achieves strong fire-resistant performance while preserving the natural beauty and comfort of wood.
